Most of them will have experienced multiple placement breakdowns and significant trauma, often resulting in behaviour that challenges. On average pupils will have been excluded from other provisions up to three times before reaching us and had significant periods out of education.\n\nEssential requirements to be successful in the role are:\n\nMinimum of one years’ experience of working directly with high risk and complex pupils in a recognized setting such as social work, youth work or education.\n\nSubstantial experience of supporting neurodiverse children with ASC and/or SEMH and an understanding of potential implications for communication, learning and behaviour patterns.\n\nPositive role model, with emotional intelligence and resilience.\n\nNumeracy and Literacy qualifications at level two or above (or equivalent qualifications).
