SEN Class Teacher - Specialist SEMH School - Education and Training

We are looking for a dedicated and resilient SEN Class Teacher to join a specialist Specialist school in Bedford. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who thrive in a structured, nurturing, and highly supportive educational environment.

Salary: £30,000 - £46,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-Time | Permanent

The Role - Bedford

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, nurture-based lessons to small groups and on a 1:1 basis
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs, focusing on emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Apply trauma-informed and attachment-aware approaches consistently
  • Plan and deliver personalised learning programmes aligned with EHCP outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, pastoral teams, therapists, and external professionals
  • Create a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment

This SEN Class Teacher offers the chance to build meaningful relationships, helping pupils develop confidence, self-regulation skills, and a positive connection to learning.

We are seeking SEN Class Teacher who:

  • Holds QTS or QTLS (desirable), or has strong experience within an SEN/SEMH setting
  • Has experience supporting pupils with SEMH, trauma, or behavioural needs
  • Demonstrates resilience, patience, and consistency
  • Builds positive, restorative relationships with pupils
  • Can reliably commute to Bedford
  • Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
  • Is motivated to continue their professional development
