Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience working with pump sets?\nCan you assist the field service team when required?\nAre you looking for a position with great development opportunities?\nIf so, this exciting new role could be for you! Our client is looking for an Mechanical fitter to join their small team and help dismantling, rebuilding and refurbishment of pumps within the workshop and you will also be responsible for ensuring all inspection and assembly documentation is completed and procedures, policies and work instructions are followed.\n.\nKey Responsibilities:\n * De-contamination of pump units prior to inspection\n * Dismantling, inspection and reporting of pump unit condition\n * Assembly of pump sets\n * Identification of spare parts required from drawings\n * Compilation of findings into detailed inspection report\n * Mechanical measurement of components and critical dimensions\n * Electrical inspection of pumps\n * Assembly of pumps\n * Testing of pumps\n * Assisting with the field service department as and when required\nRequirement\n * Skilled Mechanical Fitter\n * Experience with pumps or rotating equipment\n * Mechanical apprenticeship, qualifications, or time served\n * Experience working in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment\n * Fault-finding skills\n * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings\nBenefits:\n * Salary £35,000 - £40,000\n * Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30 (30-minute unpaid lunch break) Friday: 08:00 – 13:30\n * 1.5 x overtime, 2 x Sunday for service\n * Pension: 3% employer / 5% employee\n * Life Assurance: 4x salary\n * Holiday: 25 days plus the option to buy an additional 5 days\n * Enhanced maternity and paternity leave\n * Parking\n * ½ day Friday\n * EAP\n * Enhanced sick pay\nIf you would like to find out more about the role please get in contact with us.
