Your new companyWe are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor with a strong background in school or education environments to support a series of school inspections and compliance reviews across London on an interim basis. This is a 3-month plus rolling contract which may lead to a more permanent role.This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring schools meet statutory health and safety standards, identifying risks, and providing practical, compliant solutions.About the ClientOur client is a dynamic and fast-growing consultancy operating within the education sector, providing specialist compliance and advisory services to schools and multi-academy trusts across the UK. They are known for delivering pragmatic, high-quality support that helps education providers maintain safe, compliant environments while navigating an evolving regulatory landscape.Working with a wide portfolio of schools, they offer a collaborative and professional environment where experienced advisors can make a tangible impact.Your new roleConduct health & safety audits and inspections across school sites in LondonReview policies, procedures, and risk assessments for complianceProvide clear, pragmatic advice aligned to current UK H\&S legislationSupport schools in preparing for or responding to inspectionsIdentify risks and recommend actionable improvementsProduce detailed reports with findings and recommendationsEngage confidently with school leadership teams and stakeholdersWhat you'll need to succeedProven experience in Health & Safety within schools or education settingsStrong knowledge of UK H\&S legislation and safeguarding considerations in schoolsRelevant qualification (e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent)Experience conducting audits/inspections and producing reportsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and travel across London sitesEnhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)Desirable:IOSH membership (or similar professional body)Experience supporting Ofsted readiness or similar inspection frameworksWhat you'll get in returnCompetitive day rateFlexible contract covering a range of London-based schoolsOpportunity to make a real impact on safety and compliance in education
