We are currently recruiting for a Nursery Room Leader to join our team at our Brimpton House Day Nursery and Pre-school.\n\n59 High Street, Kelvedon, CO5 9AE\n\nRoom Leader   \n\nFull Time - 40 Hours Per Week\n\nSalary: £29,244 \n\nBrimpton House is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Leader to join the team and inspire creativity and excellence every day. This position is based in our toddler room for ages 1-2 years.  \n\nDevelopment: Tailored learning and development opportunities to support your career growth\n\nCompany Pension Scheme\n\nReferral Programme: Recommend a friend for a role and if they are successful receive a cash bonus.\n\nRoom Leader duties and responsibilities*:\n\nProvide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.\n\nEnhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development\n\nAssist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest quality\n\nPromote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency\n\nAssist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.\n\nMaintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file\n\nEnsure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times\n\nUnderstand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met\n\nRoom Leader requirement and skills:\n\nFull and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential\n\nOver 1 year’s experience working in Early Years - Essential\n\nOver 6 months’ experience working in a senior position - Desirable\n\nSound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable\n\nKnowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential\n\nFluent in written and spoken English - Essential\n\nWe are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for all posts.
